Mar Vista Cottages

Comments from San Francisco Magazine

"Originally built in the thirties, these twelve wooden cottages were, and are, simple dwellings for low key vacations - the kind of place where you can cook your own meals and eat them on an oilcloth-covered table, then retire to an overstuffed chair that looks out on a meadow and beyond to the sea. Tucked in the trees across the highway is a weathered gate leading to a path and on to a stairway down to the beach."

"The rather hidden beach at Anchor Bay has a wide open sandy stretch at one end and a rocky cove with its own little waterfall bouncing down a cliff that ends in a tumble of stones in the other."
