A DOG'S LIFE AT MAR VISTA!

As dog owners who never want to go anywhere without Rascal, we cannot imagine our guests having to leave their best friend behind, especially one who is so comforting and so much fun! Mar Vista is the ideal site for a getaway with your dog.

We have restored our twelve 1930s era cottages with dogs in mind to create an environment that is welcoming and comfortable -- always fresh, and cleaner than you will find anywhere. We installed hardwood floors and use washable cotton rugs and slipcovers so that our very diligent housekeepers can present the highest standards in a simple and uncluttered cottage interior.

Mar Vista's nine acres are your dog's playing field. We have other resident creatures in our Peaceable Kingdom -- Pygmy Goat Higgins, Nubian Goat Lola, Bunnies Lucy and another Higgins, and a parade of Hens o laying. If our creatures pose too much of a challenge to your dog's playful or prey-fulness, we may ask you to keep your dog on leash while at Mar Vista.

There are many beaches and trails that await you
and your dog's pleasure.

We have established the following parameters so that we can continue to welcome guests with and without dogs, and sustain our very high housekeeping standards.

A fee of $85 per stay 
is charged for one dog,
$110 for two dogs.

This fee helps cover the costs of our additional cleaning requirements following a dog's visit. The fee covers reasonable and customary use, it does not cover damage or abuse of our basic restrictions listed below.

RESTRICTIONS

*puppies cannot be accommodated,  dogs age must be a minimum of three years

*two dogs is the maximum number accommodated in a cottage

dogs must not be permitted on the beds and furniture

*dogs must not be left alone in the cottage

*cats, birds, and other indoor pets cannot be accommodated

These restrictions are not simply kind requests without consequence, a fee will be charged for damage or abuse, the amount of which will be based upon the labor and material required for repair or replacement.
