May is behind us and we are entering June - the month when all of the flowers are out or so it seems when you look beneath your feet. In some places it is literally impossible to walk without stepping on beauty. The wild azaleas are out in all of their glory and in a multitude of shades and colors. A member of the rhodedendron family, they tolerate more sun than their cousins and can be more easily seen in open areas. The birds and bees are very active and a number of song birds are passing through our area on their annual migration. Just today we saw a black bird with gold shoulders sitting on a branch near a mass of white azaelea...
